IIS provides a broad, international curriculum that enables its students to continue their education anywhere in the world, while preparing them to live in harmony with others.
The Pre-school and Junior School sections of the school follow the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (PYP) and the school is an authorized IB World School. In the Senior School Section, the students follow the IGCSE curriculum.
Pre-School
Children enter IIS Pre-School from age 2. The IB PYP curriculum is taught to students from Nursery (Age 3) to KG (Age 5). Children at IIS are encouraged to be in charge of their learning. Preschool needs to complete 4 units from the themes of their choice. Through exploration and investigation the children develop the skills to conduct research, empowering them with the tools to understand their world.
Junior School
Ibadan International School is an International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO) World School authorized to teach the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP) in the Pre and Junior sections of the School. The PYP is a framework for International Education which emphasizes knowledge, skills, concepts, attitudes and action as the five essential elements of a primary education.
